Ein echtes Eurovision Village hätte im Zentrum von Rotterdam gebaut werden sollen, ist aber aufgrund von Korona nicht möglich. Aus diesem Grund entschied sich die Organisation für eine vollständig digitale Ausgabe. Eine Premiere für den Eurovision Song Contest.
Vom 15. bis 23. Mai 2021 öffnen sich die Türen des Online Eurovision Village für Besucher aus aller Welt. Fans können in die Welt von Eurovision eintauchen und Live-Konzerte von Künstlern wie Johnny Logan und DJ Afrojack genießen.

I am incredibly proud of the fact that we have built the world’s first ever Online Eurovision Village. This year, a larger and more wide-ranging audience will be able to celebrate together. Rotterdams Ikonen
Das virtuelle Dorf wurde von Rotterdam Festivals, der Unterhaltungsagentur Tribe Company und der Digitalagentur DEPT entworfen, gebaut und mit unglaublichen digitalen Inhalten gefüllt. Auf der 3D-Karte von Rotterdam erkennen Sie die bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt wie den Euromast-Turm und das brandneue und funkelnde Depot des Museums Boijmans Van Beuningen.
Das Eurovision Village
Das Eurovision Village ist die offizielle Fan-Zone für diese Veranstaltung, in der eine Vielzahl von Musikern und Künstlern - darunter 2021 Teilnehmer - auftreten und sich Fans treffen. Jeder ist herzlich eingeladen, mitzumachen und die Musik und die gute Stimmung zu genießen, denn der Eintritt ist frei. Es ist offizieller Teil des Eurovision Song Contest, der von der Europäischen Rundfunkunion (EBU) in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den niederländischen Rundfunkunternehmen NPO, NOS und AVROTROS sowie der Host City Rotterdam organisiert wird.
Stadtprogramm
Als Host City Partner ist Rotterdam Festivals auch für das City-Programm verantwortlich. Mit einem kreativen und hauptsächlich Online-Programm zeigt die Stadt Rotterdam ihre vielen Talente. Mehr als 50 Organisationen und Kulturinstitutionen bieten eine breite Palette an Veranstaltungen an, von offenen Studios und Gesangswettbewerben bis hin zu Musik auf Spielplätzen und Moscheen.
